What to do when child is Easily distracted?
it provides a visual for how long is left to do work (you can program it for so many minutes in green, then a few more minutes in yellow - warning that time is almost up, before it goes into red. You can choose sounds or no sounds. I also find it works well to have a routine, so there's an expectation for what needs to be done when. Minimize distractions (eg. don't have the t.v. on while you're trying to get your child to focus on your face so you can talk about something) and practice what listening looks like (eg. eyes on the speaker, mouth quiet, hands and feet still)
