there're always lots of comments made here about using css instead of tables, and conforming to web standards. ive done a bit of digging, but still largely use tables because on browsers that are still in use (in my experience) like netscape 4.7, sites will not work correctly.
what browser versions do you design for? where do you draw the line between using techniques like css and making sure everyone can see a site correctly? it seems contradictory - conforming to standards should mean that you create a universal website, but it assumes a certain level of technology.
thoughts?
